Ceilidhs

A ceilidh or ceili [pronouned 'kay-lee'] is an Irish or Scottish social dance event suitable for all ages and abilities - no previous dancing experience is necessary because our caller will explain and guide you through the dances slowly before the music starts, and still be there to remind you of all the steps once the dance gets going. Ceilidhs are great fun, great exercise, and make brilliant icebreakers at any social occasion. We bring our own PA which is suitable for amplifying us in most medium to large rooms.

Mogwoppet have played as a ceilidh band at birthday parties [18th - 80th!], corporate dinners and social events, charity events, school barbeques, leaving parties, weddings, festivals, street parties, garden parties, university societies and organised regular ceilidhs.

We can also provide between-dance entertainment with a few songs while you get your breath back!
